1 Simple Hack to Find Purpose.
If you’re wondering what you have to offer the world, it’s yourself. Everything else is junk.
We are surrounded by celebrities and people who just seem to have their whole lives figured out. They’re happy, popular, and successful. Yet, the rest of us can’t seem to figure out what we want to do with our lives.
When thinking about how to create my own personal brand, I struggled with this. What the hell do I have to offer the world? I’m just a designer from Texas. I know many college grads are afraid of the future, because they don’t know what their purpose in life is.
I wish someone told me this sooner. This is a simple truth I want everyone to hear.
I know, it sounds like a quote from one of those posters with the little kittens on it. Just hear me out.
You don’t need to have your whole life
So many of us get caught up worrying about what we’re going to do with our lives. We try to plan the whole thing out — afraid that if we make the wrong decision, we’ll be left with a lifetime of regret.
Life is full of mistakes, backpedaling, course-correcting and recoveries. You are not going to get it perfect the first time around. So, look for opportunities to seek happiness, and go for it. If you don’t like it, keep trying new things until the right door opens.
Allow yourself to make mistakes. Don’t be afraid to waste time investing in yourself. You are the greatest asset you can offer to the world.
Follow your fire.
Find what gets you fired up and take it to the next level. Your passion is the primary thing you should be investing in. Search for that one thing that you can do or talk about without end, and dive head first into it.
You won’t be a super star on the 1st try. People are going to criticize you for your actions, but you ignore those people, because at-least you’re doing something.
You are your future.
We worry that what we have to offer simply isn’t enough for the world, but it isn’t about being enough. It’s about being you. You are human, and the winners aren’t perfect, they just aren’t unafraid to share who they are.
Your first steps into the world are always the hardest, but just keep making one step after the another in the direction you want to lead.
